While their debut was practically a revolution in the development of a satisfactory fusion of singersongwriter vocals and drum'n'bass, Lamb's second album sets the bar much higher. As on the band's debut, Andy Barlow proves he's one of the most capable and inventive producers in the electronic community. Lamb's second album, FEAR OF FOURS, shows them more focused, with a tighter grip on song structure. The rhythms, again, are breathtaking. The title, FEAR OF FOURS, comes from their aversion of the all-too-common 44 time signature found in most music today. So they craft tracks around less commonly used signatures, like the crazed 68 double bass jazz of B Line. They don't abandon it altogether, however All In Your Hands slithers with sinewy strength.
