Album
Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is the 1994 debut album of American hip hop duo OutKast. After befriending each other in 1992, rappers André 3000 and Big Boi pursued recording music as a duo and worked with production team Organized Noize, which led to their signing to LaFace Records. The album was produced by the team and recorded at the Dungeon, . Studios, Purple Dragon, Bosstown, and Doppler Studios in Atlanta. Released April 26, 1994. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik Tracklist. Peaches Intro Lyrics. One example of this was when they were recognized by The Source magazine at their 1995 award show as the New Artist of the Year. The New York crowd booed them as they took the stage to accept their award, leading André to respond with his iconic statement: The South got somethin' to say. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik Q&A. The album was not only artistically successful but also thrived commercially, leaping into the Top 20 album chart on the back of the outstanding hit single Player's Ball and eventually going platinum. Although a little bit too dependent on overly simplistic and programmed snare beats, the music is unconditionally excellent, with languid, mellow melodies sliding atop rapid, mechanical drums. Outkast - Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik - Cd. Go Unlimited. This was Outkast's first album, from 1994, and they look like babies. Well, teenagers-Andre looks about 14 and Big Boi maybe 16 or 17. Their voices sure are developed, though, and their amazing lyrics are delivered with smooth vocals. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is another hot track that the duo was about. Then there is Crumblin' Erb the smokin' song, layin' back and just chillin. The bouncy track Ain't No Thang was another standout song on this album. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik was released by LaFace on April 26, 1994, and peaked at number 20 on the Billboard 200, eventually being certified platinum in the United States. The album has since been viewed by music journalists as an important release in both hip hop and Atlanta's music scene. Though theyd met at an Atlanta mall only two years earlier, they already sounded like soulmates by the time they dropped their 1994 debut. Whats more, the record not only introduced the world to hip-hops greatest odd couple-swaggering, smooth-talking Big Boi and a far-out word nerd known then as simply Dré-but it also broke the coasts beef-based monopoly on relevance. Southern rap wasnt a thing until people had to come up with a way to classify this heady set of languid funk, moody grooves, slurred. Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik CD, Album.
